"The Hotboy" DJ Quicksilva's Birthday Weekend

Awww this dude... Quick and I go waaay wayyy back to Hammerjacks in Baltimore (what y'all know about that!) And this ole' man is getting older so come celebrate with him!

Day 1: Head to Ibiza (1222 First Street NE) on Friday night for a costume party. $1000 cash prize to the best costume and I heard Quick is coming with a good costume so fellas come prepared if you wanna walk away with that gwap.

Day 2: Saturday, the birthday boy is heading home to celebrate with Baltimore's own Jay Claxton. The party will be at the Sheraton in Towson (903 Dulaney Valley Road). Advance tickets can be purchased at any Baltimore DTLR (remember, they changed the name lol). With a Pink Vodka VIP room and a runway show, the party should be hot!

Day 3: He's finishing the celebrations at The Park (920 14th Street NW) on Sunday night. The dinner party kicks off at 6 PM but the party goes all night.

You hear him everyday on your drive home so come party with the Hotboy. :)

UMD Homecoming 2008 Kick Off Events!

I think it's pretty obvious that I'm a recent graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park (cheers!!!) and it's finally our Homecoming time!!! Here are some kick-off events for tonight:

>> The Park (920 14th Street NW) is having their usual $5 cocktails from 5-8 PM tonight. The party goes until 2 AM. Does anybody else miss the couches and cocktail tables on the first floor?

>> Pure (1326 U Street NW) is hosting "Virtue Thursdays", a new happy hour with open bar from 6-7 PM. They'll also have $1 drink specials until 10, (ooh and my fav) 2 for 1 apple martinis and cosmos until 10. The party goes until 2 AM with my favs DJ Alizay and DJ QuickSilva on the tables.

>> Open bar at Felix (2406 18th Street NW) tonight before 11. Shout out to the Inner Loop DJs who will be in the building.

Not Fab: Ray J kicked out of DC Hyatt

Although I love Brandy so much...I swear her little brother is the wackness. Sources say homeboy was tossed out of the Hyatt Regency (400 New Jersey Avenue N.W.) on Saturday morning for having some weed and some 'club drug' called Boat. Supposedly, his reps are saying that it wasn't him...it was somebody in his entourage...hmmm..."we don't believe you, you need more people."

Still, when hotel security came to his room because it was getting a little rowdy, Ray J tried to bribe the security guards and when that didn't work he started cursing people out. LOL SMH! A boy after my own heart...anyway, his bodyguards eventually carried him outta' there and they ended up checking in the Holiday Inn down the street. lol. 

Speaking of baby brother, watch Ray J in the studio with 'The Hotboy' DJ Quicksilva and Angie Ange...of course, Ray J is showing off for the camera...he needs rehab.

Word on the street is DJ Khaled was up in H20 (800 Water Street SW) last night, rocking the crowd along with "The Hotboy" DJ Quicksilva!

Nick Cannon and Wild'n Out girls at Ibiza

I don't really know where Nick Cannon has been and I don't particularly care but if you do...Trendsetterz Ent. is bringing him to Ibiza nightclub (1222 First St. NE) tomorrow night (4.24.09).

Some of my fav DJs will be in the building: Quicksilva and Harry Hotter and ladies have an open bar from 9-10 PM so stop through to see MTV's favorite corny man.

Thursday Night Happy Hours

Okay so I dragged myself outta' bed this morning, had some morning car troubles (argh!)...got into work around 12 noon and have been catching up ever since, all the while wanting to pull out my hair ever since (but I didn't cuz I like my curls!). So it looks like we all need to go to happy hour tonight. The best places to check out are:

> For a nice chill but professional  happy hour, hop over to Station 9 (1438 U Street NW) between 6 and 9 PM. I really like this place...walk up the steps to the second floor when you get there.

> If that's not your scene, go down the street to Pure (1326 U Street NW), formerly Barnun for their happy hour. Yo, people be rockin' in here...dancing like it's Friday. Two levels, I like the top one to chill and the bottom one to party. This party goes until 2 AM. 

> Your best bet is 1223 (1223 CT. Ave. NW) from 9-11 PM; it's open bar! (See recap from last week) Guys have to be 21 and are free until 11 and ladies only have to be 18 (hmmm) and are free until 12. My favs will be on the tables: DJ Goldenboy and 'The Hotboy' DJ Quicksilva! Go see for yourself.

Last month, The Hotboy DJ Quicksilva spilled the beans about the hottest new spot on Fridays, Ibiza (1222 First St. NE).

Ne-yo, Idris Elba (also known as Stringer Bell from the Wire and the same Idris who has recently been asked to play Beyonce's hubbie in an upcoming film called Obsessed. B is also exec producing this film!), Fred Smoot (Washington Redskins) and Willis McGahee (Baltimore Ravens) were all parlayin' up in K Street Lounge (1301 K Street NW) last night.
