Open Bar at Lotus Tonight

Is it true? LGI is throwing a party at Lotus (1420 K Street NW) on Thursdays now...(possibly to rival The Park Thursday's and because 1223 was so empty last week that they shut the place down by 12:30 AM. Shameful.)...and they're right around the corner from each other.

Still, with ladies free until midnight (with this pass) and fellas free until 11 and an open bar from 9-11 PM it may be a good look to stop by here tonight.

Mecca AKA "Ready Set Go"...don't see him? Look a little harder...HAHA! :)

DJ Analyze will be on the wheels and Mecca AKA "Ready, Set, Go" will be on the mic.

Pajama Party at The Republic

I thought this was a fun idea...the shuttle is leaving from HU to head to a pajama party at The Republic tonight, formerly known as Republic Gardens (1355 U Street NW).

Expects tons of half dressed college students (especially since it's only 18 to enter) but if you're up for it, it should be fun.

Shout out to LGI Entertainment.

LGI Entertainment brings High Definition: Let Me See You Juke!

So LGI has hooked up with another collegiate organization, Howard University's Chicago Peoples Union (I'm starting to believe they're like the R.Kelly of throwing parties...preying on the youngsters...lol...just kidding Jav!) to throw High Definition The Afterparty on Saturday (1.26.08).

I'm loving the theme of this party...my sister lives in Chicago so I got mad love for the place, not to mention juking to me looks like a faster Baltimore Club dance. Don't be fooled! (Shout out to BmoreFab!)

Although the kiddies will be out, because it's at Platinum (ick!) [915 F St. NW], go out and see for yourself!!!!

Support the Reds at Fur Nightclub

LGI Entertainment is always hooking up with the collegiates...and this time, they've teamed up with my sorors (of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.) at Alpha Chapter to throw a back to school party for all those still in the process of getting that degree at Fur Nightclub (33 Patterson St. NE).

I don't know what "discounts before 11" means but I guess they want you to get there early.

Party For A Cause!

Party For A Cause!

I love this idea...Tonight, at Republic Gardens they are donating a percentage of their proceeds to help the situation in Jena. (If you don't know what I'm talking about then stop reading this and read up! Stay informed!)

If you can't make it to U Street then send your donations to to a fund set up by the parents of the "Jena 6" defendants.

Jena 6 Defense Fund, P.O. Box 2798, Jena, La. 71342.

So everyone's doing something to promote Rick Ross and DJ Khaled (We the BEST!) coming to Love this Friday. Same info, different flyer.

So, I've talked about Ibiza before (click here to read) but here are some pictures to show you what I was talking about:

The big dance floor...this room kinda' makes you feel like you're dancing in a warehouse. And honestly, there's never enough people to make the dance floor look crowded. They have smaller rooms but I don't have pics yet! :-)

The rooftop bar and lounge...love, love, love this!

Ibiza definitely has a diverse crowd but it's okaaaay. Go late.

Of course the crappy Avenue is having their standard thing on Friday. Ladies free before midnight?! What happened to all night?! Go here if you wanna party with the locals.

LGI stay reppin' for the colleges and universities. Okay so they're bringing Freeway to Platinum, the kiddie club. If anyone goes ask Free when the last time he had a hit? Boo.

And After You Get Your Club On...

After you shake that thang in the club, go find Jesus. I gotta big up Moms (Bishop Vashti M. McKenzie), she's coming back to Baltimore to preach at my old church Payne Memorial AME Church (1714 Madison Avenue). Sunday at 10 AM.
[And yes I did get this in an email...not that I didn't already know]

Aight y'all. I'll be seein' ya!
