Pic Recap Part Deux: Jay-Z Pimpin' at Love

For all my Jigga fans, I nabbed more pics of Jay-Z chillin' at Love:

Stuntin' is a habit...look at all those gold bottles. Shameful...he shoulda' invited me! I see you Kevin Liles with not one but two drinks in hand...

Jay-Z with the valet man outside. Cute :)

Is that Jeannie Jones? (I hate to say it but...meow)

So many DJs...shout out to Antonio 'The Cuban Cigar Smoker" and Pusha T of the Clipse

S.Dot.

I'm luvin' the NY fitted...I used to rock fitteds back in my Hammerjacks days lol.

Bottles have been popped.

Pic Recap: Jay Z Stops by Love Nightclub

eVIPlist.com got the exclusive pics of Jay-Z at Love nightclub. He stopped by after his performance at the Kennedy Center. Click here to read my recap!

Hov with a sweaty Taz and Bmore's own Kevin Liles. Luv him.

Proof that I was right when I told Mia that Jay-Z needed a shape up...look at the hype body getting pushed out the way by Jay's security guards lol.

Video Recap: Jay Z Performing at Kennedy Center

Thanks to my man over at DCtoBC.com I got this footage of Jay Z performing "Minority Report" acapella.

Pic Recap: Jay-Z Performs at Kennedy Center's Africa Rising

Yup...DC Fab! was in the building for Jay-Z's debut performance inside the world reknowned Kennedy Center. Jay said, "I've been to D.C. a lot of times, but I've never been here before."

His intoxicating swagger and loads of energy, (when I left I felt like I had been on stage, I was so tired so I can't imagine how he felt) Jay-Z performed most of his hits to an intimate setting.

Some snagged pics:

The Roc boy was definitely in the building...

Supermodel Alek Wek walked in shows by Nigerian fashion Momo and Nigerian designer Deola Sagoe

Tyson Beckford who came out to hundreds of screaming women...he's sexier in person

DC Fab! leaving the show...exhausted but still fabulous!

I must mention the thing that pissed me off the most about this night. When entering the theatre where Jay and John were scheduled to perform, I had to be wanded by security men dressed in all black (like the omen!) What the H? Was I at H20 or the Kennedy Center?!? Appalling! And you know I had to ask because I've been to the Kennedy Center over 10 times at least and never have I ever been WANDED and my PURSE searched?! WHAT IN THE WORLD? I asked why did they beef up security to about three different 'official' looking people. I got the same answer, "I don't know...this is my first time here!"

Hmm...Is this racism? I think so...

Some of my pics:

Alek Wek

John Legend. I have video of his new song "Good Morning"...to be posted later this evening.

John hopped off stage and sang in the crowd. This definitely wasn't your average Kennedy Center performance

Caron Butler throwing up the Roc sign in a fashion show right before Jay Z performed

The man of the hour...

He brought out Memphis Bleek to do some of his classics. The man was on stage for more than 75 minutes!

And he didn't pass up an opportunity to make a political statement in DC...he said something along the lines of "Forget Bush". :) (Note: Jay Z's comments do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of DC Fab! and its writers. Thanks!)

Jay showing off who he's voting for...

p.s. After the show John Legend performed two songs at Ibiza nightclub and Jay Z simply showed up at Love. He sipped on his drink and occasionally sung the words to his songs. Word on the street is that the promoters couldn't afford to pay Jay to do a real show. Dag. Times must be hard.

John Legend and Tyson Beckford are scheduled to be at Ibiza (1222 First Street NE) tonight with DJ Quicksilva on the tables.

Jay Z at Love on Friday and Layla Lounge Grand Opening

Announced at the new Layla Lounge last night, where I heard it look like an adult Jack and Jill meeting (wow, remember those?), Jay Z will be at Love Nightclub (1350 Okie Street) this Friday. You might as well wait in line now because it will be ridiculous!

Also, the guys over at Layla Lounge are planning a big grand opening celebration for next weekend with a bigggg celebrity guest in the building to bless the place right. Could it be the Jiggaman himself? It's probably Allen Iverson knowing his track record...he just can't seem to leave the District.

I guess we'll have to wait until next weekend to find out! :)

Pro Verb responds to Jay Z diss

Like 2Hood4Hollywood, I really wanted to stop caring about this Lebron v. DeShawn beef...but seeing as though DeShawn got fined (boo) I figured I might as well post the response from DC's own Pro Verb to Jay's diss record.

Click here to listen and let's just hope the rest of the playoffs can remain about basketball.

Bowie State Homecoming 2007

I'll admit, I haven't been covering Bowie State's homecoming (am I hating? Not really)...so for all of you complaining, complain no more! It's nothing like Howard's homecoming but they try...

Tonight, Erykah Badu along with Trey Songs (I'm loving his new single) and Yung Joc will be performing on campus at the James Gym. The show starts at 8, doors open at 7 PM. Tickets are $35. Click here for more information.

---------------------------------------------------------

If you're more interested in Halloween than Homecoming then go to Love (1350 Okie St. NW) tonight. They're having a costume contest; best dressed wins something...I'm not quite sure if it's cash money!

---------------------------------------------------------

Back to BSU Homecoming: Republic Gardens (my favorite hood spot on U Street) is celebratin' the black and gold on Saturday, Oct.27. I hope the rain stops by then because it's really puttin' a damper in my partying mood.

---------------------------------------------------------

For all you music lovers...

Chris Brown, along with Bow Bow, Soulja Boy, Shop Boyz and Lil Mama will be at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore on Sun., Dec. 9.

I feel like they'll be alotta' screaming, pre-pubescent girls here but I still wanna go.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, Oct. 27. Click here.

And all my hip-hop headzzzzz...Jigga is finally returning to Charm City (that's Baltimore for all those who don't know) on Friday, Nov. 9 at Rams Head Live (20 Market Place) !

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 12 PM and they will sell out...I wonder if people are planning to camp out downtown? That would be pressed.
