Comedian Mike Brooks' Live Taping at Warner Theatre

A DC Native, Mike Brooks is coming back home after being on several of our favorite comedy shows like HBO's Def Comedy Jam, P. Diddy's Bad Boy's of Comedy, Comic View and in that awful movie The Salon with Vivica Fox and Terrence Howard. 

Anyway, he'll be taping at Warner Theatre (13th and E Streets NW) tomorrow night in his show "No Place Like Home". Get your tickets here! If you missed him then, don't miss him again...and if you've never heard of dude, check out his footage below:

Showtime at the Apollo Open Auditions at Warner Theatre

Have you always wanted to make the band? Were you too young to audition for Star Search...well Showtime at the Apollo (wow, that show is still on?!) is having open auditions this Saturday (1.2.08) from 12-3 PM at Warner Theater (1299 Pennsylvania Ave NW).

They say arrive early...it's on a first come, first serve basis. All ages are welcome to try out so bring your grandmomma witchu! :)

Recap: BET Honors in DC

The BET Honors went down in Warner Theatre (1229 Penn. Ave NW) this weekend in the District. Many black celebs came out to celebrate the achievements of people that have committed themselves to excellence in media, the corporate world, public service and entertainment.

The Honors are scheduled to air on BET on February 22nd but if you're one of those who can't wait to see who was there, see below:

Other things to note: Stevie Wonder had an amazing performance, Ne-Yo gave a tribute to Micheal Jackson since it's the 25th Anniversary of the Thriller Album (I hear Micheal was supposed to show and BET wasted $40,000. Dag, Mike!), Vivica Fox presented and got wasted at the reception and Gladys Knight got a standing ovation for her performance.
