Mardi Gras at Liv on U St.

If you're looking to start Mardi Gras off right...I'm not so sure you can do it at Liv (2003 11th Street NW)...I'm sorry but I hate this spot. I just never have a good time and I can't believe they charge people $20 to get in...

Whatevs, last time I went a nice old man let me slide because it was past 1 o'clock and seriously, I just don't know if it's worth it.


Still, my boy Brandon with the Usual Suspectz will probably pack this place out. And if you do decide to go, make your way up to the second floor and chill out... oh yea, open bar until 11 and they're giving away an iPod nano (a video one?)!

Erykah Badu is makin' her way back to the District for HU's Homecoming. She'll be at Liv (2001 11th St. NW) for their "True School Hip Hop Party" where they're playing only the top hits from Hip Hop over the years...hmm, sounds very familiar to another party I went to at Mai Thai. hmm, whatev.

All you MD alumni who are skipping the actual football game (why is the game at 8 PM?!) go see my ex-favorite singer Keyshia Cole and my other baby father, LL Cool J at H20 (800 Water Street). I'm so very proud of Abdul for his lineup for homecoming! Snaps for him.

p.s. In case anyone cared why Keyshia is my ex-fav singer...well, she just been real flat lately...did y'all see her at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors and I can't forget what she did to the Big Fat Morning Show on 92Q FM in Baltimore. Humph!

They startin' the party at LIV. It's on U Street but I absolutely hate this place...small venue, overpriced ($20), the VIP is wack...the one good thing I remember is leaving. Go if you want.

Saturday

My ls love, love, loves going to Republic Gardens. There's so much going on this weekend, I'm not quite sure I wanna spend my time here. Another U Street establishment but it's much better than LIV.

Sunday

I love Lima's flyers...whoever does them is like that. They're so girly and flirty and fun...I wanna go just by lookin' at the flyer.

Okay y'all I need more sudafed. Hopefully I'll be good for this weekend.
