The DC Carnival is coming to town this weekend, Saturday and Sunday to be exact. Get your flags ready, your cut up jeans...or just a white tee shirt to swirl around.
Head down near the 4800 block of Georgia Avenue at 11 AM on Saturday to see lots and lots of beautiful black people, reppin' their island! With vendors to buy some reppin' gear, and your local Caribbean joint selling the best beef patties and curried something...and of course the great music, it should be an afternoon of HOT summer fun.
Be sure to wear sunscreen and bring a bottle of water because it's always jon blaze on carnival days! :)
p.s. It's one of those things that you do once for the experience and ...yea.
