DeShawn Stevenson hosts Game After-Party at Indeblue

If you're too cheap to get a real ticket, watch the Wizards play the Utah Jazz at Indeblue (707 G ST NW) right across from the Verizon Center. If you get there early, you can enjoy the happy hour drink specials and appetizers.

After the game, party with DeShawn Stevenson and the rest of the Wizards! (Groupies, this is me lookin' out!) Oh yea, and don't forget the open bar from 11 PM -12 AM.

Ladies are free all night and fellas, you have until 10 PM to get there. DJ Deno is on the wheels.

The Fab! Rundown | The Saturday Night Edition

So in my effort to keep you better up to date on weekend activities, here are my Saturday night picks (Thanks to S. Breezy for calling me out and making me get my act together):

>> Sayo has been very consistent in bringing a good looking crowd to Penang (1837 M Street NW) and he wouldn't have it any other way... Cuz you will get denied if you're not fly. I also hear he's having an open bar until midnight. To get on the guestlist click here!

>>Whenever this monthly party rolls around, Olives (1600 K Street NW) is always filled to capacity with DC's sociables. This month, the boys have created a very unique theme: Technicolor. I hear they'll be a Ciroc open bar, a lounge sponsored by Vitamin Water, some major ballers (GROUPIE ALERT!) and there are rumors floating that the sexiest dark skinned brother I know will be in the building...Idris Elba (remember who told you first!) :)

>> Want groupie love? These people do...Seesinz from Flava of Love 3 and DeShawn Stevenson are hosting Saturday night at H20 (800 Water Street).

Those will be the best parties in the city... So yea, nothing else to say about that.

Happy weekend :)

Recap: K Street Lounge | Spotted: DeShawn, Caron and Seezins

Here's what the sources are saying:

By midnight, the line was long as usual. It was pretty much a stand still, with an average of two people going in per 30 minutes (WACK!). After realizing the 20$ cover (UGH!) we got in. After the long wait in line,  we expected it to be poppin'...but it was just mediocre and hood!!!!

Now that they've added tables and couches in the middle of the dance floor it creates even less space to dance. Of course as we were walking around we kept getting bumped into...it was very annoying.

The Washington Wizards showed up around 1 AM, including DeShawn Stevenson and Caron Butler. They sat at seperate tables. Oh and surprise, surprise the head groupie of the moment, Seezins from Flavor of Love (with her terrible weave and panty line) was dancing around Caron's table with two of her friends. Who does she date on the Wizards??? Hmmmm...

The music was cool as usual and our first round of drinks came to $22 ( I guess that's not too bad). At least the bartender was fast, but she wouldn't give me my card back until she realized that I tipped her appropriately. (Boo!)

Overall, the night was a 6 out of 10 and if we didn't make it into VIP, it would have been a 3. If you're not at a table, I don't suggest going to K Street (1350 K Street NW) on a Sunday night.

Pro Verb responds to Jay Z diss

Like 2Hood4Hollywood, I really wanted to stop caring about this Lebron v. DeShawn beef...but seeing as though DeShawn got fined (boo) I figured I might as well post the response from DC's own Pro Verb to Jay's diss record.

Click here to listen and let's just hope the rest of the playoffs can remain about basketball.

Jay Z disses DeShawn at Love

Just when you thought there was no beef between Lebron James (Cavaliers) and DeShawn Stevenson (Wizards), Lebron's sugar daddy Jay Z went on ahead and created a diss record of our beloved Washington Wizard...okay, this is too much...

The record debuted at Love nightclub (1350 Okie St.), here in the District (wow...Jay went hard), last Friday. Rumor has it that now the Wizards are boycotting Love and The Park at 14th over this ish...somebody's feelings are getting hurt.

Jay freestyled over Too Short's "Blow The Whistle" saying, "Who the f***'s overrated? If anything they underpaid em, Hatin....that's only gonna make him, spend a night out of spite wit the chick you been datin" (Click here to listen to the full song)

Apparently, this song played five times..FIVE TIMES up in Love...craziness!! And somebody gave the Cav's Damon Jones the mic who went off at the mouth.  Sources say (sexy fine) Caron Butler paged DeShawn about the nonsense that was going down at Love and then Caron stormed out.

DeShawn did comment on the song saying, "When I had Soulja Boy here it was on the court. It was nothing disrespecting him or his family or even foul language...But for Damon Jones to get on the mic. And I heard he was saying foul stuff about me and stuff like that, they're taking it beyond basketball to me."

Word. We'll see how this saga ends...

Mini Recap: Lebron James at The Park

So yesterday I told you that Lebron would be at The Park (920 14th St.) and he brought all of his 'friends' with him...

(Photo: Lebron looking quite swagged out inside The Park)

The Park was it's normally boughie self with everyone acting a bit too self-important and then letting it hang out a little when the drinks set in.

Still, it was the place to be last night after the Wizards spanked Lebron's beloved Cavaliers. Trying to dull the pain of losing, the Cavs were out including Damon Jones and Ben Wallace. Also in the building were the Wiz Kids (sexy fine) Caron Butler, Andray Blatche and...

DeShawn Stevenson. We've all heard about the tiff between Lebron and DeShawn when Lebron said that he was Jay Z and DeShawn was Soulja Boy...kinda funny actually (if you're lost, read more here). Anyway, DeShawn brought Soulja Boy to the Verizon Center yesterday...I don't know if it was to prove a point or to simply say touche but it definitely added fire inside the Center.

Okay, back to the recap...also in the building were Supersonic's Kevin Durant and of course the Redskin's Carlos Rogers and Clinton Portis.

Oh yea, and ETeezy had the skinny on the brawl that was about to break out at The Park. He writes:

However, the best part of last night was when DeShawn Stevenson and Damon Jones started jaw jacking about the series and almost got into a PHYSICAL ALTERCATION. Those dudes had to be separated by security and their friends. Afterward, all you heard was DeShawn saying, "It's on, it's on. I'll see them punks on Sunday". And Damon was cosigning Lebron saying, "That's why Bron gonna give ya'll 50".

p.s. Blocks away Brendan Haywood partied at Be Bar.

Recap: DeShawn Stevenson's Birthday Party at Collaborations

Recap special to DCFab!
by Shakirah Hill
April 3, 2008

The 80s babies were in full effect last night at Collaborations (The Verizon Center's new private lounge...I hear membership will run you $30,000 for two people) to celebrate DeShawn Stevenson's 27th birthday, thrown by none other than the Washington Wizards.

Lord knows I hated 80s fashion but I must say everyone looked great...kudos to everyone for bringing the 80s back tastefully. Big shout out to Gilbert Arenas for rocking the Gucci circa 1984. A night hosted by WPGC's Big Tigger, this 80s themed party was complimented well by the sounds of a Hip-hop legendary Biz Markie who rocked the 80s hits all night.

The party featured an arcade including our fav 80s games: Pacman and Tetris...yes,
Tetris! There were vases filled with all of your favorite candy from the 80s, including ring pops, candy necklaces and Pop Rocks! What you know about them Pop Rocks? They even had the Twister game going... it was crazy fun.

(Photo: Yes, we played Twister! Photo Credit: Shakirah Hill)

All the Wiz Kids were in the building and even though they lost the game that night, you wouldn't have been able to tell by the way they were partying. I spotted Seezins of Flavor of Love... she's been at a lot of their events lately and from what I hear she wasn't on the guestlist...hmmm dating one of the players maybe?

(Photo: Who said white boys can't jump? Photo Credit: Shakirah Hill)

The usual groupies were in the building who I will leave unnamed. Still, the highlight of the night was Stevenson's choreographed grand entrance and special performance by Slick Rick.

Overall, I give the evening an 8 and that's only because it was hella hot!
