I have to send a big 'muh bad!' to the promoters at Shadow Room (The Standard, DT, Dave & Ray) cuz I definitely saw this and it got buried in my inbox...look who showed up in the rain last Thursday at The Shadow Room:

Election Night Parties

A great reader of DC Fab! asked that I put up Election Night events now (because unlike me, some people do like to plan ahead for these types of historical things) and I told her I would so here it is:

Shadow Room (2131 K Street NW) is having an Election Night event from 7 PM to until. See flyer here.

Young and Powerful for Obama is hosting "Live your Life: The Moment of Truth...Election Night Watch Party" at The Park at Fourteenth (920 14th Street NW) from 6 PM to until. RSVP is strongly recommended!

DC for Obama is hosting a watch party at Station 9 (1438 U Street NW). General admission is free and VIP is $20 (not quite sure what VIP gets you). See flyer here.

The Usual Suspectz are hosting an election watch party at The Republic (1355 U Street NW). Doors open at 5:30 PM. They'll have drinks specials and appetizers available (although unless you're on the first floor there isn't much space to sit down and eat). Still, RSVP here.

Wednesday Nights at Josephines

If you're looking for a swanky-swank night away from the throngs of groupies headed to see T.I., head to Josephines (1008 Vermont Ave. NW) around the corner...well kinda.

CBC Events: Thursday Night

Thanks to Dave and Ray, the party will be at Shadow Room (2131 K Street NW) tonight. It's free before 11 PM if you RSVP here. I don't expect a lot of Congress people to be there but you might find the 21+ college/young professional crowd here...the up and comers.

The Secret Life of Bees movie premiere, the film featuring Queen Latifah, Dakota Fanning and Alicia Keys will premiere tonight in DC at the Newseum.

HBCU Alumni welcome the CBC at Lotus (1420 K Street NW). RSVP here to get in free all night. The party goes until 2 AM.

Congresswomen Yvette Clark, Donna Edwards and Laura Richardson are hosting a reception called "The Sistahood: East Coast Meets West Coast" tonight at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (1250 NY Ave. NW) from 8-Midnight. RSVP here by 3 PM.
