Layla Lounge (501 Morse Street NE) was truly the spot to be at last Saturday night! Although the venue is relatively small, it has a very upscale, sexy and chic ambiance.
The club was packed like sardines and the VIP upstairs was filled with "ballers", local celebrities (i.e. HGTV's Niecy Nash), professional athletes like Allen Iverson, Darnerien McCant and a few other Redskins players. Unfortunately, just like the bottom level the upstairs level was as hot as a steamy shower!
Drinks were moderately priced and the music was great blend of Hip Hop, R&B and Reggae. Although this new venue is nestled in Northeast DC, right off of Florida Ave, it looks like this is going to be the new place to party for the grown and sexy DC party goers!
