I'm always a fan of Fly Lounge (1802 Jefferson Pl NW) on Monday nights with no lines and no cover charge. It's the spot to go to if you like a classy crowd or a place where you won't get bumped into while having a drink.
By 12:15 a.m. the crowd was mellow at best. The attire was somewhat relaxed, with some men sporting sneakers and t-shirts. Still, there are always THOSE girls who don't care if the weekend just ended...they were still gonna wear their freakum' dresses.
Within the midnight hour, girls started booty poppin and the guys were doing their same old two-step as usual. The music was good, and the drinks were reasonably priced. Thank goodness the bartenders were speedy making it quite easy to get another round.
The VIP section was somewhat crowded but not with anyone that would be worth mentioning. One of the most interesting parts was when homegirl wipped out on the middle of the dance floor (NOT FAB)!!!!
Now that the Wizard's season has come to an end, spotted were Roger Mason and Dominic McGuire who showed up to have a few drinks, but were out within 30 minutes.
Shout out to Omari Ware of The Standard who keeps the weekday nightlife poppin!
