Last Sunday, DMV's Trey Songz received the Virginia Icon Trailblazer Award at the 2008 Virginia Icon, an annual music competition for VA's middle and high school students. The award acknowledged his contributions through his music and for his Songz for Peace initiative, which brings awareness to the rise in youth violence.
