Recap:Battle of the Beltway at Nationals Park

Haven't been to the new Nationals Park (1 Potomac Ave. SE) yet? GO!!!! It was so much fun yesterday as I was (totally out of my element) actually enjoying baseball in the Battle of the Beltway: the Baltimore Orioles versus the DC Nationals!

An amazing, state-of-the-art baseball stadium right inside DC (you look over and you can see a breathtaking view of the Capitol building) with what seems like a big HD screen, every kind of food a 'fat kid' like me could dream of (including my beloved Dippin' Dots and Papa Johns pizza... they were actually giving out free pizzas during the game!) and entertaining fake stadium commercials and giveaways, the Park is a great place to go with friends, coworkers or a boo.

There's no bad seat in the house (and thanks to a guy who needed to give away some tickets in order to keep his hook up, we ended up on the second row behind the pitchers mound!) and if you get bored just walking around the stadium is fun.

Not to mention the restaurant/bar called Red Porch, which is actually in the stadium for those people who want to sit down and not be cramped in a stadium seat just to eat... or for people who don't like beer...still, when in Rome you do as the Romans right? I fit right in with my Louis Vuitton, Coach shoes, peanuts and Budweiser. It was great!

Great and fabulous time! :)
