Vashti McKenzie makes EBONY POWER 150

This post is not so much random since it's about the woman who gave me life. DMV native (and my beloved mother), Vashti McKenzie was recently named on the 2008 EBONY POWER 150 List, which names 150 black people who are most influential in Arts, Entertainment and Media, Business, Education, Religion, Politics and Law, Military and Public Service.

Momma Vash was the only woman to be named in the Religion category for being the first woman bishop in the AME church among other things.

Mom, I love you and I'm so proud of  you!

Keep on making it do what it do! :)

p.s. Go pick up her latest book "Swapping Housewives" :)...yea, I'm not kidding.
