If you want to be all touristy watch the fireworks on the National Mall starting at 9:15 PM. Make sure you take the metro because parking will be impossible.
You can get off at Metro Center, Gallery Place-Chinatown, Judiciary Square, Federal Triangle and L'Enfant Plaza.The Smithsonian Metro station will be closed!
