Spots to Watch NBA Finals Game 6

It looks like some of you took the initiative and toldddddd me the best spots in the District to watch the NBA Finals Game 6. I hope you're better than me...the last game I ended up falling asleep on the couch :) I didn't know who won until the morning...yaddawell!

(Photo: Ashanti singing the National Anthem at Game 5)

Call me old fashioned but I still think a good old rusty-dusty bar is the best place to watch any kind of sporting event. The people there aren't too stuffy to talk trash and give each other high fives.

>>>Head down to Adams Morgan to some of my fav spots: Ventnor (2411 18th St. NW), Tom Tom (2335 18th St. NW)...I had tooooo much fun on my bday here!!!!!, Felix (2406 18th St. NW) and of course the new spot Evolve (1817 Columbia Rd NW)...did y'all ever run and get a new TV? :)

>>> Looking for a place a little less bar-sy? Head to Lotus (1420 K St. NW)...by the time the 2nd quarter comes on (10 PM) they have a Ciroc Vodka happy hour.

>>> There's also U Street, which provides great bars to watch the game. Try walking around U Street between 11th and 15th streets to see if a spot catches your eye.

I'm Exhausted!!

Labor Day Weekend Recap

The birthday boy looking F-L-Y!

So I told you I celebrated Alonzo's birthday party on Saturday at The Mark. If that place isn't the wackest?! Apparently, they have a 45 person limit on the lounge...WHAT! 45 people! This must be a new thing because I def went there in the Spring and it was poppin'. Oh well...needless to say the football players were poppin' bottles in the corner. With no DJ (probably somebody's iPod playlist playing over the speakers), no people ...the place was a dud.

We headed back to Adam's Morgan with our good drinkin' buddies Brian and Brandon, alum from Howard U. (Pics coming soon)

Sunday my friend dragggggged me out of the house because the Baltimore Young Professionals Network party at Kasbah Lounge in Baltimore, MD. It's in Canton where Kamp is, which is a really nice lounge as well. I love the decor but this place is always full of chicks, lookin' a tad too old. They have a nice red carpet as you enter and they have wonderful, plush couches where you can chill and groove. I was so happy to see DJ Quicksilva', who used to DJ at Hammerjacks back when I was there. He's fineeeee.

I think Baltimore is too small to party...every cute guy that tried to holla' had talked to someone I knew already. Damn.

We left there early went to Red Maple (which was PACKED!!!). At Eden's Lounge the bouncer said my friends were too drunk to get in! LOL. Damn again.

Monday my sister threw a Labor Day/Birthday Cookout for herself at the house. (pics coming soon). OMG I had so much fun...don't get drunk and then listen to Baltimore Club Music or watch Borat. Good times.

Pics comin' soon cuz I know y'all are curious as to what the hell I'm talking about.

HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND!!!

"It's the weekendddd, It's the weekenddddd"
I am super-excited about Labor Day Weekend. My parents are home, we're going shopping, so many parties all ova' the city and you know we BBQ'ing!!!!

Where Was I Friday?
Adam's Morgan!! If you're looking for a guaranteed good time (if your not too stuck up), go to Adam's Morgan (near 18th and Columbia streets). Last night I went to a couple of spots, more noteably Roxanne (wack, wack and more wack) and FELIX (my new fav spot in AM).
The bouncers are cute and cool...also, the men in the AM will treat you if you show 'em a smile (the one of your face!)

Saturday: Happy Birthday Alonzo!!!
One of my favorite Alphas, invited me to his birthday celebration he's having at The Mark on Route 1 in College Park. I love this lounge...drinks are kinda' pricey for this college area but they're delish and the decor is on point. I love love love this place!

Sunday...why watch football when you can go out!
You know Love is doin' their thing for Labor Day...

*

Shout out to my favorite flyerrrrs...Lima on Sundays

*

So Dom and Tupac are doin' their thing at K Street, right down the street from Lima...I would go to K Street if I were you BUT I didn't see nothing 'bout an open bar...what happened to that?!?!?! BOO!

ALL WEEKEND
The MD State Fair happening until Sept. 3rd. I loved this fair as a child...they got good food, fun rides and my favorite: COTTON CANDY!

Be safe this weekend...don't drink and drive! The cops is lurking!
